Earable Frenz Brain Band: Next-Gen Focus & Sleep Tech
Phoenix Eye Films was commissioned to create a suite of social media assets—high-impact photography and a TVC—for the Frenz Brain Band by Earable® Neuroscience, a deep tech company based in Boulder, Colorado. From concept to delivery, Phoenix Eye led the project end-to-end, including hiring cast and crew, managing production logistics, and overseeing post-production to ensure high-quality media assets.
With their agile, cross-continental team, Phoenix Eye captured the essence of this award-winning wearable that uses neuroscience and AI to enhance sleep and focus. Filmed on location in Las Vegas, the campaign blends bold visuals with innovation, showcasing how the Frenz Brain Band is transforming the way we rest, think, and perform.
Inclusively Framing and Representing Race through an Anti-racism Lens in Media Reporting
Phoenix Eye Films was commissioned by Media Diversity Australia to produce a series of impactful short film content that was publicly screened and also adapted into short-form social media assets for online platforms. With a focus on authentic storytelling and inclusive representation, Phoenix Eye brought together a diverse team to craft visually compelling narratives that resonated across both live audiences and digital spaces.
Echo 8 - Feature Film
Phoenix Eye Films is the creative force behind the award-winning, ultra-low-budget action film Echo 8, currently streaming on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and Apple TV. Made on just $10,000 AUD, the film is a testament to the team's resourcefulness, grit, and commitment to authentic, genre-driven storytelling.
From crowdfunding and script development to full-scale production, post, and global distribution, Echo 8 demonstrated Phoenix Eye’s end-to-end capabilities and passion for independent cinema. The film has since garnered international attention for its intense action sequences, strong female lead, and grassroots approach—cementing Phoenix Eye’s reputation as a bold new voice in the action genre.
Mighty Maddy’s Mission to the Future – Short Film & Social Media Campaign
Phoenix Eye Films was honoured to be part of Mighty Maddy’s Mission to the Future, a heartfelt creative project led by 9-year-old Maddy Suy that captured the hearts of the nation and raised critical awareness about DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a rare and aggressive brain cancer. As an Official Selection of the 2024 Viet Film Festival, the project gained international recognition for its bravery and imagination.
Phoenix Eye was instrumental in the facilitation and delivery of the short film and its accompanying social media campaign—from production to the emotional public screening attended by 300 people at the Art Gallery of NSW, held just 10 days before Maddy's passing. Through this deeply meaningful project, we were honoured to help fulfill Maddy’s final wish: to share her story of courage, creativity, and endless possibilities with the world.
Warrioress – Documentary Short
Directed by Maria Tran and produced by Phoenix Eye Films, Warrioress is a powerful 25-minute documentary that celebrates the journeys of pioneering women in martial arts. Commissioned by the Art Gallery of NSW, the film features candid interviews with martial arts icons including Cynthia Rothrock, Laura Bui, Bianca Elmir, Kristina Mah, Anne Pang, and Shantelle Thompson. Through their stories, Warrioress explores the intersection of martial arts, personal transformation, and gender advocacy, highlighting how these disciplines empower women and foster resilience.
The Echo 8 Trilogy: Five By Five & Echo 8 Beyond
Following the success of the award-winning action film Echo 8, Phoenix Eye Films expands the universe with two bold new chapters: Five By Five (prequel) and Echo 8 Beyond (sequel). Shot back-to-back across Western Sydney with a micro-budget of $30,000 USD, these grassroots productions are a testament to the team's unwavering commitment to indie filmmaking.
Five By Five delves into the origins of key characters and the secretive forces that shaped them, while Echo 8 Beyond propels the story into high-stakes territory, blending emotional depth, explosive action, and unexpected alliances. With a strong female lead, martial arts authenticity, and a multicultural cast and crew, the Echo 8 Trilogy redefines what's possible in independent action cinema—powered by grit, community, and creative fire.
